National Driver Improvement Scheme (NDIS) courses are available throughout the United Kingdom and are run by Local Authority Road Safety Units or private companies who act as service providers for the respective Police Authorities. If you are involved in a road traffic incident and evidence is collated by the Police which indicates you have been "Driving Without Due Care and Attention, or Driving Without Reasonable Consideration to Other Road Users" contrary to Section 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1988, then you may be given an option to attend a NDIS course.
This option is offered as an alternative to having the incident referred to the Crown Prosecution Service which will result in a Summons to attend court where you may receive a fine and penalty points on your driving licence
If you have been offered a place on a NDIS course and are concerned, then contact us for no obligation advice and guidance, we can assist with practical 'pre-course' preparation and coaching to ensure you are properly prepared, giving you the best opportunity to complete the course successfully.
We can also offer an independent accredited audit and course appraisal to service providers and Police Authorities to ensure compliance with the National Model.
